There is no God but Allah, Muhammad is Allah's Messenger
I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the One, without any partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger.
Islam is to testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, to perform the prayers (salath), to pay the charity (zakat), to fast in Ramadhan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so
Islam teaches us that this life is a life of worship. We are placed on this earth in order to worship Allah and obey His command. During this earthly life we are subjected to a series of trials. We have the option of enduring these trials and conforming to certain laws, and our reward will be great in the next life, or we may decline to endure these trials and choose to not conform to the law, then we will be made to regret it in the next life.
Each person will be solely and completely responsible for their own final reward. Allah has guided us to make this life a better, safer, and more tolerable one for us. If we elect to conform to them then we will see the result in this life even before moving on to the next.
So do believe in Allah, do believe in His angels, do believe in His Books (Scriptures), do believe in His Messengers, do believe in the Day of Judgment and do believe in the Divine Decree (Divine fate) whether good or evil
Allah created us, and we know that we should only worship Him. This is an instinct Allah has created us with. He did not just leave us, rather He sent prophets for us. These prophets had miracles as proof. The miracle for us today is the Quran. There is no other religion that worships only Allah, and believes in Him as totally perfect, and believes in all of His prophets, and scriptures
Show me where it is written, within the lectures and teachings of any religion or faith, that INTENTIONAL taking of NON-COMBATANT human life is justified as a means to an end.

Lifelong interest in martial arts from judo as a child, wing-chun as an adult, and my last venture,,,,Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Being over the big "4-0" and "rolling" just does not mix. Especially when you are asked to roll with beginners that have no control over function. A overly-exited arm-bar applied by a rookie screwed my golf game for a whole summer. For now, I will stick to Wing Chun if I could find an instructor in my area that knows the art. The days of traveling to Dayton and other places are no longer possible.
