It is obvious that the inability of the Indian authorities to ensure our safety and security is quite appalling. Politics always seems to play a role in the astronomical incompetence displayed by almost all aspects of the Indian administration. What was even more surprising was the total lack of commitment shown by our Prime Minister while addressing the nation. It was as if a robot was speaking. I was fabberghasted at his utter inability to calm the nation in this time of crisis. I felt more angry and infuriated after his pathetic speech than reassured and calmed. It is high time for the Indian political system to clean up its act and step up to the plate. We have to respond with such a force that any more of such incidents never take place. We are the largest democracy in the world, its high time we start acting like one.
